The Christian Women’s Fellowship of the Independence First Christian Church met Wednesday, June 5th, at the rural home of Blaine and Norma and enjoyed a cookout hosted by the them. Blessing of the food was given by Wilma, with outside dining enjoyed by 18 members.
A short business meeting was held to vote on returning the name of our annual “Celebration of Women” back to the original name of “Mother/Daughter Banquet”. Seventeen cards were signed and will be mailed to those unable to attend regular meetings.
Devotions were given by Laura from The Secret Place, and entitled, “Garden of Decisions”. Judy provided the least coin with “Kindness”.
With no meetings in July and August, the new officers were installed by Judy, using the theme, “Follow the Light”, with candles presented to each of the following 2019-2020 officers:

Norma led the group in prayer and then closed the event with a reminder about the meeting in September.
