Chili Challenge Fundraiser: FCC will be participating in the CMIH chili cookoff on Saturday, March 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you wish to contribute to the cookoff, please contact Ethel for more information. If you wish to enjoy a bowl of chili at the event, the suggested donation of $5 includes chili bowl, drink and dessert.
New Sunday School Class: Pastor Mark is leading a third Sunday School class. “The Discovery Group” will focus on discovering God relevant to today’s issues, news and events.
Lenten Season: A short Prayer Service is scheduled for each Wednesday during the Lenten Season at 11:30 a.m., followed by a light lunch in the Fellowship Hall. All members and friends are welcome.
Next Meet for Breakfast: Sunday, March 18, at 8 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Menu will include breakfast burritos, coffee and juice.
Palm Sunday: Church decorating and creation of crosses for Palm Sunday will take place on Saturday, March 24. All who would like to assist can meet at the church at abut 9:30 a.m.
FCC Easter Egg Hunt: Sunday, March 25, at 10:30 a.m. Donations of plastic eggs and candy are needed.
“The Last Supper”: Come experience a dramatic biblical reenactment of the Last Supper, to be shown at First Christian Church on Thursday, March 29, and Crystalbrook Church on Friday, March 30. Shows will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature local talent from both churches. Admission is FREE.
April 1 is Easter Sunday and Fellowship Sunday. There will be no cookie fellowship; however, breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Menu will include biscuits and gravy, eggs, fresh fruit, coffee and juice.

Love Independence Day: First Christian Church will be joining the rest of the city to help spread the love on the 3rd annual “Love Independence Day” Saturday, April 28. Feel free to join your church family in showing love for each other and the community.
Fifth Sunday: The next 5th Sunday celebration falls on April 29. A potluck meal will follow Sunday School. Honor your mother by bringing your favorite mom-made dish from the category that matches the first letter of your last name, as follows: A-G: Meat Dish; H-O: Vegetable or Salad; P-Z: Dessert
Rummage Sale Items Needed: Now is a good time to start looking around home for items you would like to donate to the Open Arms rummage sale, which is scheduled to take place the first weekend in May. If you need help transporting furniture or other large items, contact the Church Office.
Special Music Needs: We are always looking for individuals who would like to help provide Special Music during the Worship service. If you are interested, please contact the Church Office to schedule a date.
Suggestion Box: If you have any ideas or suggestion on how to improve the worship experience at First Christian Church, feel free to jot them down and drop a note in the Suggestion Box located on the wall just outside the rear Sanctuary doors.
