Christmas Reflections

Going back to when I was a child and we celebrated Christmas, I often wonder just what I really thought about Christmas.  Oh yes, we had our Church Christmas activities, the children’s programs with the 3 wise men, Mary and Joseph and Baby Jesus, the wonderful Christmas carols, even the penny sacks of candy we received.  I vividly remember those past Christmas’s, but what about the “now” Christmas?  Do we celebrate the real meaning of Christmas?

Was it back then somewhat like it is today?  Busy with so many activities, do we have time to really stop and think of the wonder of the birth of our Savior?  Do we really appreciate just what has been given to us?  It ‘s free.  All we have to do is accept it and follow the wonderful life the Lord has provided us.

Just last Sunday, each of us in the Future Planners Class told of our most memorable Christmas.  It was interesting to hear the tales of family time and love that was shared with each other.  So, do we still have this kind of Christmas, or are we so busy with our outside activities that we have basically forgotten the real meaning of Christmas?

CHRISTMAS JOY AND LOVE TO ALL!
