The Christian Women’s Fellowship of the First Christian Church met Wednesday, the 6th of September, with Luella and Ernie hosting the event. Group leader, Norma, led the attending 21 members in opening with the CWF Prayer. She then called for the reading of the Minutes and the Treasurer’s report from Secretary/Treasurer, Ernie.
A short business meeting followed, with Laura updating the group on our program of planning and providing bereavement dinners to the families of our lost members. Nineteen cards were signed to be mailed to members unable to attend today. The group was asked to remember the blessing boxes that are to be turned in soon, and it was noted that, as the year starts in September, there are still new CWF books available.
Lesson leader, Darlene, with group participation, brought the lesson on “The History of Music in the Church.” Laura brought the least coin from The Secret Place, and devotions provided by Luella were from “Gratitude is an Important Part of Prayer.”
The group was dismissed in prayer and will meet again on the 4th of October with Norma and Judy hosting, Shirley bringing the lesson, Mary the devotions, LaDella the least coin, and a musical program provided by Phyllis.
