The Christian Women’s Fellowship of the Independence First Christian Church met Wednesday, the 2nd of October, with group leader Virginia leading the 18 attendees in the opening CWF Prayer. Secretary/Treasurer Ernie presented the minutes and Treasurer’s Report from the previous month, which were approved as read.
Final plans for the Kansas Disciples Women’s Retreat, being held Saturday, October 5, were made, with four of the group to attend the event. A full report will be given on this in the upcoming November meeting.
Fifteen cards were signed to be mailed to the members unable to attend regular meetings. Marsha presented the lesson from an early WWII version of “A Soldier’s View of A single Deck of Cards”. Virginia brought devotions and the least coin with “What Prayer Can Do” and “Reaching Up to Heaven.” Minnie and Joyce hosted the event.
Sue, Danielle and Sara will host the November 6th meeting. Wilma will bring the lesson, Ernie the devotion, and Norma the least coin.
The group was dismissed with prayer.
