Food Drive: The CCA Committee is sponsoring a food drive thru Sept 29, with donations going to the Community Access Center. These may be left in the box outside the Church Office bearing the “Wish List” of items needed, which includes cereal, oatmeal, pancake mix, pasta, pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, tuna, condiments, peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit.

Green Chalice Awareness Day: Sun, Sept 22. England will lead the Worship Service, with assistance from students from ECM KSU.
5th Sunday: Sept 29. The Worship Service will take place in the Fellowship Hall, and the Green Chalice group will host a meal at 11:30 AM, also in the Fellowship Hall.
SE District Men’s Mtg: Mon, Sept 30, at 7 PM in Parsons. Cost is $7. If you plan to attend, please sign up in the Church Office by Wed, Sept 25.
CWF Mtg: Wed, Oct 2, at 9:30 AM in the Parlor.
Meet for Breakfast: First and Third Sundays (Oct 6 and Oct 20) at 8 AM in the Fellowship Hall.
Elders Mtg: Sun, Oct 6, at 8:30 AM in the Upper Room.
Fellowship Sunday: Oct 6, with the Kings class hosting Cookie Fellowship in the Fellowship Hall after Worship.
Church Board Mtg: Sun, Oct 13, at 11:30 AM in the Upper Room.
Heritage Sunday: Oct 27. We will have an old-fashioned Worship Service in the Sanctuary and a potluck meal served at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Last names beginning with A-L, please bring a bean dish; last names beginning with M-Z, please bring a fruit pie.
Trunk or Treat: Thurs, Oct 31, from 6 – 7:30 PM in downtown Independence. Fun-size candy bars are needed and can be left in the Church Office.
