The Christian Women’s Fellowship of the First Christian Church hosted the annual Mother/Daughter Banquet Wednesday, the 3rd of May, with a salad supper and included fried chicken and dessert. Mothers and friends of mothers were acknowledged and welcomed by group leader, Norma Babb. Norma also gave a brief history of the goals and programs of CWF.
The blessing for the food was given by Shirley Padley, with dinner following. Entertainment consisting of the poem, “A Mother’s Love” was presented by Marsha King. “Memories of Mother” was provided by England Porter, and LaDonna Erbe paid her tribute to all mothers with her song, “Fairest Lord Jesus.”
Thanks was given to all who assisted with this great annual affair. We had wonderful cleanup and setup help, the food was delicious, as usual, and we appreciate all who attended.
We dismissed in prayer with the reminder of the next CWF meeting being June 7th, to be held in the Fellowship Hall at 11:30 AM.
