Praise be to the Lord God Almighty, our loving parent and faithful companion, who oversees and blesses our daily lives. For in His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of His Son, Jesus the Christ, whom He raised from the dead. (1 Peter 1:3)
As we look forward to the coming New Year with new hope, new dreams, new opportunities and new possibilities, we must remember that the Lord is constantly renewing our minds and our hearts to continue to strive for the prize that is in the grace and mercy of Christ Jesus.
LaDella and I have dedicated our lives to the good folks at First Christian Church, and through the Lord’s help, we hope to continue to inspire, encourage and support all the great ministries and outreach programs that First Christian Church offers to the community.
This New Year, let us continue to be open, welcoming and loving to all of God’s people. Let us rededicate ourselves to knowing God through fellowship and hospitality, through worship and praise, through Bible reading and study, and through spending time with the Lord in prayer and devotion.
First Christian Church is making a difference in the lives of many people. Let us continue to build, to serve, to give and to be witnesses of God’s redeeming light for all to embrace, to enjoy and to find peace and comfort.
For we know that the Lord has a plan for you and for this church. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. (Proverbs 23:18)
