“Step into my parlor,” said the spider to the fly… Remember that old fable? Nah, that’s not where we’re going, but I would like to ask you to step into our updated Church Parlor…
If you have not been in the Parlor lately, or just have not noticed the new look, let’s take a look at it…
New drapes… No way, but they sure do look like new ones. Perhaps, it’s because they have been washed and repaired by our Chairman of the Board. When I say, “washed”, I can tell you that it took much water to make them look new. It also took a lot of stitching to repair them. Then, our Custodian, Bobby, cleaned the windows, inside and out; that made a lot of difference.
But before all that, we had a few men of the church finish up with the beautiful window trim to complement the new, shorter windows. Also, the carpet was cleaned. Most of this was done at no cost to the church, and I wish I could name the people responsible for doing this; however, some of them do not want their names mentioned.
So let’s just say thanks be to God for you wonderful people… You know who you are.
