The Christian Women’s Fellowship of the First Christian Church met Wednesday, the 1st of June, with Norma Babb hosting 16 members at her rural home with a BBQ luncheon and short meeting.
Group Leader, Norma Babb, opened the brief business meeting with prayer, followed by the Secretary’s reading of the Minutes from the last meeting and the Treasurer’s report.
Cards were signed for 14 shut-in members; thanks was given to all who helped with the successful Mother/Daughter Banquet in May, and thanks for all who have helped with the many bereavement dinners in recent weeks.
With the loss of our CWF Treasurer, Joan Farless, it was approved to add the position of Treasurer to the Secretary, making this one position Secretary/Treasurer, and Ernie Cain was approved to fill this position.
Wilma Andrews gave the devotion, “Out of Sight”, closing with the CWF prayer and a reminder that there will be no meetings in July and August, with the next meeting scheduled for the 7th of September in the Fellowship Hall with a salad luncheon. Judy Jewers will bring the lesson, Luella Lovelace will have the devotion, and Virginia Housel the least coin.
