I was quite surprised with the recognition Sunday and the gift of the cross. I was very humbled by it.
Though I appreciate the honor, I in no way served or serve in any capacity to receive recognition. I serve for the Lord, for the church and you the people. I will continue to do what I can to continue First Christian Church moving forward and upward.
I want to also thank the past board members and the entire congregation for your encouragement and support during my tenure. Without your help, we could not have carried on as well as we did. My prayer for you every day is that God will continue to bless each and every one of you.
