I would like to personally thank each and every one of you, our faithful members and supporters of First Christian Church, for your prayers, thoughts and condolences over the recent death of my mother.
LaDella and I are extremely grateful for your sympathy and support during those difficult days. Your cards, letters and phone calls were very much appreciated and a welcome comfort. It was very reassuring to know that the blessed, good folks from First Christian Church were there to console us with our grief and loss.
For we know that the Lord will heal up the brokenhearted and that He shall bind up our wounds. (Psalm 147:3) For the Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and we are certain that the Lord is our strength in our heart and our reliance forever. (Psalm 73:26)
Words cannot adequately express how deeply we appreciate everything you have done to help us, pray for us and encourage us as we have gone through this difficult time. Your enduring love has helped sustain our strength and hope as we journey through the process of grief, sadness and sorrow.
Your thoughtful expressions were greatly welcomed and appreciated. We are truly grateful to you, First Christian Church, and to all those who assisted in helping ease our time of mourning and adversity through those arduous days.
